Restaurant Review - Hon Wo Korean Restaurant - Hong Kong

To satisfy your basic Korean grilling cravings

Impression

Visiting this place for the first time after reading some comments online about its wide variety of food choices and the affordable price. We came here during a weekday lunch time. Quite packed with almost 95% seats are being occupied. HKD 128 (with additional 10% service charge) per person, including the all-you-can-eat set which basically you could help yourself with everything served on the big common area.

To compare, we do think the hot dishes, especially the fried salmon and fried food, were way better than the raw meats, including beef, chicken, pork, or any processed meats. The only raw meats we would recommend is the Ox Tongue that we focused on. The quality overall was nothing less than we expected.

Meet and Exceed?

With this price setting, we do not think there's anything much we could explain. In addition to some so-so quality raw meats for grilling, there are also sushi, desserts, fruits, hot dishes that you could choose from. The wide variety of the items made us feel its quite worth it - if once in a while you want to have some Korean barbeque but without wanting to spend too much, and most importantly you do not mind the not-so-fresh ingredients haha.
