Souvenirs Review - Lord Stow's Bakery - Macau

Looking for some classic and decent Macau souvenirs?

With almost 30 years in history, one would not disagree this bakery is one of the most classic brand in Macau. As an extremely popular place for choosing souvenirs from, this place provides a large variety of products to choose from and it is not surprising to see there's a long queue outside even on weekdays. 

The Lord Stow's Egg Tart (MOP 10 per one) undoubtedly have my heart melted. This is one of the reasons there's always a queue outside the place and I must say the waiting time definitely worth it. As the signature gourmet here - it has crispy shell, tender and creamy filling in the centre. It's baked in such a way that the surface of the filling is crispy as well. So unforgettably yum!

The Handmade Cookies (MOP 125) includes 4 flavous and are independently packaged.
The Almond flavor is the most crispy cookie among the four. It has a very rich flavor of almond.; the Peanut and Chocolate flavour has a taste of peanut butter mingled with chocolate, which is a very popular combination of taste for lots of dessert; the Ginger flavor has a relatively stiff texture. There is some chewy sweetened ginger bits scattered inside the cookies which adds an extra layer of texture to the cookie; at last, the Dark Chocolate Chip and Walnut flavour is easily my favorite in the box. Perhaps that's because I'm a chocolate freak haha. Crispy chocolate with crispy walnut in a crispy cookie. That's a lot of crispy in one sentence. Try it yourself.




This Chocolate Loaf (MOP 42) was nothing less than what we expected. It is thick but light and airy at the same time. Good news for the chocolate lovers - the flavour in chocolate is really rich and satisfying. It can be kept in cool place for a while so it would be a good choice for bringing to your family and friends.

The Serradura (MOP 30) using traditional recipe is also a great one. The base has a very creamy and smooth texture with a rich taste of milk. The cookie crust on the top is crunched to a very fine and smooth texture. It's served cold - a delicious way to cool one down in summer.

Meet and Exceed?

We are so impressed by the quality of products they produced - authentically classic and at the same time there's enough innovation to meet the new expectations from new generations. Being a long-history brand does not mean old-school at all and this brand sets a great example of that. By the way, the produce here is always fresh, natural and of the highest quality - so the Best Before date might be shorter than you usually come across. And I guess this is a piece of good news for the consumers right?
