Restaurant Review - Seoulmate Cafe - Hong Kong

Relaxing Korean afternoon tea time!

Impression

In Hong Kong, Korean dishes are as popular as K-pop and my logic was they are inter-related lol. We are not very familiar with K-pop but for K-dishes, always a "yes". This place has been here for a while that this was the second time (not too long ago) of us visiting during afternoon tea hours. Again, we have our eyes on their desserts and we were glad to see that the menu has been updated already.

This K-poppping Rice Craker & Ice-cream with Yuza Mango (HKD 58) looks so nice! And we realized that it looks exactly the same as in the menu haha. We could not even find one difference. Anyways, the crackers and the ice-cream were such an interesting combination in terms of both of the texture. The color matching was so girly as well. There was some Yuza sauce on it which was relatively sweet.

The Kimchi Pancake (HKD 88) was quite chewy so we believe some glutinous flour has been added when making this one. Comparing with the photo on the menu, the color of it was much lighter and the sprinkled green onion disappeared. It may look different from the photo but it tasted good with abundant kimchi. It was not that spicy as it looked.

Meet and Exceed?

While having a wide variety of Korean dishes for you to choose, they have made effort in creating a Korean style environment too. They have even provided few booklets and leaflets regarding the tourism information for visiting Korean at the entrance which we really appreciated. It's not only about the local Korean food, but also the potential and encouragement of visiting Korea. And well, you know, sometimes you have the tendency to visit a place after tasting its dishes right?
