Restaurant Review - Rose Cafe - Hong Kong

Enjoy some Western food in a Flowery Cafe! 

Impression

This would be our second time visiting this cafe - the first time experience has also been recorded in a previous post. If you could not find it - let me know. The dishes we ordered this time was different from last time as we always do. We came at early evening on a weekday and the place was not crowded. Until we left at around 7:30pm, diners started arriving so do make a reservation if you wish to dine in here without hassles.

The Rose Lychee Tea (HKD 42) started our night. There was a whole sweet lychee in the bottom and some sprinkled rose on the top. A sweet hot drink with slight flavour of honey. A nice and decent one.

Fried Chicken Wings (HKD 68) was a new item on the menu so we decided to give it a go. You can choose from BBQ, Honey or Cheese as sauce and this one was BBQ sauce. As expected the flavour of it was relatively heavy and this combination was quite tempting. It was freshly made (fried) and the sauce and the sprinkled herbs created a better presentation.

Balsamic Sauce Avocado Salad (HKD 78) was a good one as balsamic sauce was always my favorite salad seasoning haha - making the dish not heavy at all (but sour and sweet) together with the added cherry tomatoes and the fresh salad. We believe the slightly higher price setting is due to the higher cost on the avocado and the storage cost of fresh salad. This one could be a really good starter before the main.

Cheese Omelette With Salad & Croissant (HKD 56) was a good one. We have chosen bacon as the filling of omelette and the portion of it was generous though it was not pictured here. Last time the croissant did not look pump up and so was this time. Um I guess the focus here has been put on the omlette so not much effort was given in the croissant with its presentation and appearance, let alone homemaking it.

Meet and Exceed?

For sure this one has met our expectation with its quality of food, especially its freshness. Considering its price level and the corresponding food quality and environment, this place would be a great one to chill with your friends and couples - especially if they are flower-lovers. The place has created a number of flowery and pinky spot for you to take photos as well, so you can enjoy some Western food while taking some selfies.
