Restaurant Review - Little Eden - Hong Kong

Good value Taiwanese food with excellent service!

Impression 

Basically deep-fried and heavy taste were all my impression toward Taiwanese food, that's why sometimes I think there is not much variations, or simply put it, easily being bored of the dishes. However, this place has incorporated something more than Taiwanese, for example, there are pasta serving with cream sauce which gives diners more options while enjoying a general decent environment.

On the left was a complimentary starter Sweet Coconut Toast which included in every dinner set. The crispy crust together with the shred coconut were a good match. I do not mind taking up some more carb for this haha. On the right was the French Fries with Cheese Dip (HKD 28). Fries were freshly made and the texture of the cheese dip was not watery at all which is something we appreciated.

The Deep-fried Snacks Plate (HKD 38) was nothing less than we expected. There were fried cubed chicken, fries, fried octopus ball and fried Taiwanese sausage. None of them was overly salty and they well all well seasoned. I would say the fried Taiwanese sausage was my favorite because of its juicy meat!

Here's the main - Deep-fried chicken with Taiwanese Minced Pork Rice (HKD 72). It smelled so good when it served with the strong taste of fried chicken. The portion was generous and the charm was the crispy chicken for sure. The minced pork was equally good with enough seasoning for me to finish the whole bowl of rice.

There are few non-Taiwanese style food on the menu and this Chicken Pesto Sauce Pasta is one of them. It did not have a very strong pesto flavour but managed to look very much like it. The portion of the mushroom has outweighed the chicken and it would be appreciated the re-adjust the portion a bit. Seasoning was good; less oil could make it even better.

This Taiwan-styled Dessert Bowl (HKD 38) was so tempting and sweet. Chewy chewy! The sweetness was quite hard core and I believe this is what it meant to be haha. Again the portion was so generous, do share with your friends!

Meet and Exceed?

As stated in the topic, the service here was friendly and personal. We have ordered the dessert at the end and it came after around 10 minutes. When it was served, the staff has apologized as she stated it took us so long for it to arrive - the fact is a 10-minute waiting time was within our expectation and we were impressed with the attitude. We were also pleased to see there is a big smile on the face of the staff!
