Restaurant Review - Dodam Chicken - Hong Kong

Ready for some YUM Korean food?

Impression

I have known few friends who are big fans of K-pop and because of that, they fall in love with having Korean food too. Well, that's logical. Love a person and love what they eat, right? lol. Regardless I am yet to become a super fan of K-pop, Korean food is still on my list whenever I am doing my restaurant hunting. Famous for the fried chicken, but I believe there are other dishes that can please diners too.

This Cheese Egg Roll (HKD 128) was good with lots of mozzarella cheese inside and colorful sauce on top including mayo, ketchup and mustard. The mixture of the egg roll, cheese and the sauces make the dish become a really tempting one, like after your first bite, you could not really stop haha. Let us forget the calories first...The presentation was nice and has wow-ed us when it's served. Cheese lover? Go for it!

The Korean Naeng Myeon, ie Cold Noodle in Soup, (HKD 118) was refreshing and was particularly good for hot weather like these days haha. We were given a pair of scissors to cut the noodles up so as to make it more manageable to eat, as it originally was like a solid cube of noodles. There were some sliced cucumbers, pears, half of an egg and kimchi. During the last few bites, it was quite sour though.

Wrap up

A wide variety of local Korean food was available and the interior design is so upbeat and chic. Some may prefer the very traditional style, in terms of food and environment, but the modern ones could be impressive too. Next time, I am going to give the fried chicken a try!
