Restaurant Review - Bistro Lane - Hong Kong

Cooking Taiwanese food with passion

Impression

If you have ever realized, in order to grab some good food, we do not mind to travel a long way for the good place. Here, we have visited this place serving Taiwanese dishes during a early evening, trying to avoid the crowd. We heard that during lunch hour, there is usually a long queue so it would be a better choice to come during dinner hours - if you are available.

We have ordered three items, including Hot Dried Long an and Medar with Red Jujube Tea (HKD 22), Pearl Rice with Salted Chicken Leg Rice with Braised Minced Pork Sauce (HKD 62) and Marinated Food Set in Taiwanese Style (HKD 60), which includes Soft-Boiled Egg, Chicken Gizzard and Chicken Wings.

You bet, our favourite goes to the Marinated Food Set which has wow-ed us by its super flavouful seasoning and the amount of time spent of the marinating process - just right! Tender meats and yummy sauce. The only thing is we expected two egg instead of just one haha.

Meet and Exceed?

We appreciated the details that have gone to the food and the story behind this little place - to provide quality and affordable Taiwanese dishes to diners in Hong Kong. It may not be located in the most convenient spot - but it certainty have moved it with its emphasis on the fresh ingredients and the economical price of the products. Great food should be affordable too, which is something we sometimes forget.
