Hotpot night with great soup base!

Impression

Yes, we just could not get rid of this trend of having hotpot almost every other day haha. The attractiveness of it is how many variations there can be, mainly with the soup base and the combination of the ingredients - fresh ones of course. This place we visited this time is mainly focus on the quality soup base, with its uniqueness in using different Chinese herbs and ingredients, bringing us a new perspective of tasting it.

Meet and Exceed?

The reason why we concluded it as the main focus is on the soup base, instead of the ingredients, is because the ingredients were very average. The were presented in a nice way - but as we tasted it, they were not really as fresh as we expected. Especially the beef, which appeared to be most obvious, tasted only salty but with very little, or none, or the meaty flavour that they supposed to be. As a newly-opened restaurant, we both believe that it may take a while for everything, including the ingredients, to be up-to-standard.
