Restaurant Review - Junya Japanese Restaurant - Hong Kong

A chilling place to enjoy some fresh Japanese food!

Impression

The reason for us to say this is a "chilling" place is that we have been sitting here, enjoying our food for three hours during the dinner time! The staff understand it was a chatty day and gave us no signal about getting the table for the next round of diners, which is a great thing for us. We were arranged to sit near the bar so it gave us another experience too.

We have ordered the Beef Ramen (HKD 88), Grilled Beef Tongue (HKD 55) and Sashimi Rice (HKD 168; Big). The sashimi rice brought us a big surprise by its super fresh ingredients and the earthiness of the meats paired with the soy sauce. A delight one. The fatty part of the tuna is really yummy that we almost wanted to order another one haha.

Do note that there's a HKD10 charge for each diners for the starters provided.

Meet and Exceed?

To wrap up, we would say there's nothing goes wrong in every aspect in this place - including the environment, the service and the quality of food. The price setting is relatively reasonable, given that the location is relatively convenient since it is located almost next to the main road. The environment is very Japanese style that the typical ones you would see very frequently in the local Japan districts. So do give it a try if you fancy some Japanese food!
