Yummy classic Taiwanese food!

Impression

If you are following this blog closely, you will aware that lately there are a number of post about Taiwanese food. Okay, let me admit that once I am interested in certain types of food in that period of time, I will be keep looking for those items and keep exploring. Not really for the purpose of finding "the best", but to try for different styles, presentation and cooking method of them. Sometimes it could be a big surprise too!

First thing first, we order this Minced Pork Rice (HKD 20; Small) and add the soft-boiled egg (HKD 10). It was really good value because the amount of meat was quite a lot. They were not overly salty and can absolutely create the "melt-in-your-mouth" effect with its fat. The egg was "soft" enough and being marinated in the right way. Worth it!

The Taiwanese Sausage (HKD 22) is another classic that belongs to one of our must-order items. Rich in flavour of garlic and it was being fresh made, super juicy! The characteristic that made me becomes a fan of it was the juicy part of the sausage, with a bit fat inside it. Definitely a good match with the minced pork rice!

To finish off the lunch, of course I would not miss the dessert part. The Taro Balls Dessert (HKD 32) was really a surprise. With this price setting, we did not expect the bowl could be that huge haha. You could see in the photo that the ingredients are packed in the bowl with at least five different types. Chewy and yummy without adding too much sugar in the soup base. Must try!

This Tea was average, nothing much to praise or complain. I would say not a must-order item given that the above dessert was good enough.

Meet and Exceed?

It is very obvious that this place offered a range of Taiwanese food in a very affordable price. Those food items are not seriously difficult to make or with pricey ingredients, but certain levels of passion is needed to maintain the quality as well as the reasonable price. In my opinion, it is the original recipe or not does not really matter, as long as it suits your taste and you feel good about tasting it. Support!
