Restaurant Review - MeowBox Cafe - Hong Kong

Impression

This district is filled with Western cafes serving a wide variety of dishes for the diners. We always explore different kinds of items here and once in a while, we would come across a place serving quality food and here's an example!

The Linguine with Crabmeat and Smoked Salmon in Tomato Cream (HKD 88) is such a decent surprise. The dish has been presented in a nice way with a slice of French baguette at the side. The Crabmeat and salmon match well with each other and this is not a very commonly seen combination. The tomato cream is light so no worries about the word "cream". By the way, all the lunch sets come with daily salad and designated drink at HKD 20.

The Cauliflower Rice with Mixed Mushroom and Truffle Oatmilk on Italy Portobello (HKD 78) is definitely not a common item in Western cafe! The making of Cauliflower Rice sounds simple but it actually takes time to make, so that the time cost involved is the main reason for the limited supply in restaurants. For this item, there are many different types of mushrooms added and they were all so juicy haha. Light in taste with a pinch of Truffle Sauce as an additional flavour. A must-try for people who are currently on diet or focusing on healthy lifestyle. Great taste!

Meet and Exceed? 

We very much enjoyed the comfy environment here with lots of kitten-related decorations, which are so adorable! We were told that some arts are created by the owner too. If you like coffee - this is another reason to give this place a try since there's a professional barista on site who can make recommendations for your coffee drinks according to your needs and for those that recommended to us - we love them! This place has also partnered with Green Monday in order to provide healthy and environmental friendly living, so do check out the plant-based options, like the Portobello one we tried. For the drinks, Oatmilk can be used to replace the milk if you wish.
