Restaurant Review - Kabo Burger - Hong Kong

Who else can be as competitive as this one?

Impression

Having burger is a never-die idea that interests almost everyone in this world. Even in Hong Kong, flooded with Western or Japanese-styled burger places, our passions towards it has never dropped. There are way too many varieties in creating one and we were always excited to try a nice one - not only in terms of the taste, but also the price. At the end of the day, a burger could be perfect if the price is sky-high, but it does not worth a recommendation from us.

Not kidding, we were totally speechless when we see how huge this Scallion Mayo Chicken Burger (HKD 32) was. We have got Ox Tongue (additional HKD 22) as an extra topping, and guess what, there are 2 (yes, two of them!) seriously thick-cut Ox Tongue! We have even doubted if we were given the right item, because HKD 22 for two thick-cut Ox Tongue sounds too good to be true haha. We have had a hard time in thinking what's the closest that other places can offer with this price. And the answer is, none. By the way, the texture of them were very soft and tender - for sure extremely satisfying. The chicken thigh was equally good with the right amount of seasoning.

This one may look crazy, but the melted cheese from this Baked Brie Cheese Burger (HKD 48) was actually falling off from the burger because of its huge amount! That's shocking to see how much cheese has been added when you look at how much they charged. Quality is so good, with the lightly grilled bun, veggies, tomatoes and the sauce. All are matching perfectly well with each other. The beef patty was not the best I have tasted, but for this price, there's nothing I can/should complain. Well well beyond expectations, together with the above burger. And to make it even more tempting, I have added Onion (additional HKD 2) and Fried Egg (HKD 6) as extra toppings - they were awesomely good!

We have made it as Burger Combo (additional HKD 15) that we could choose a side and a drink. The side we have picked was the Siu Mai which has a generous amount of 10 pieces. We cannot even get this size for HKD 15 in other places lol. Simple but absolutely one of my comfort food.

Meet and Exceed?

Gosh, it just made us thinking how could this business survive on keep going on with this price setting. Super economical that we can hardly imagine how to successfully covered the cost of the ingredients given that the rental fee, maintenance fee, kitchenware and the labour cost. Or, how crazily high profit other places are getting lol This place as a local burger shop offering unbelievably great value food items, there is no way we do not 100% support. Highly appreciate and highly recommend!
