Restaurant Review - Luen Fat Seafood- Hong Kong

Come on, seafood lovers!

Impression

This Glutinous Rice (HKD 50; bowl) was full of Chinese-styled preserved meats. We enjoyed how they fried the rice so that each of them has been separated in a neat way without being stick together - it requires cooking skills. The added onion and fried eggs were the important ingredients to level-up-ed the dish. Each ingredients are able to balance with others in a nice way.

This Fried Teared Chicken with Jellyfish (HKD 78; dish) is one of their highlights in this place that they have stick its photos all over the wall haha. That's why we had no hesitation in ordering one. Since we have only 2 people with limited space in belly, we have ordered "dish" whereas you could also choose "half" or "whole" for a bigger portion. In addition to the chicken and the jellyfish, there were also marinated white carrots and carrots which were quite a interesting combination with the dish. It's more sour than those we used to have and this relatively special presentation was pleasing enough too. Portion for "dish" was huge already!

The Soy Sauce Deep Fried Oysters (HKD 78), while relatively small in size, were very tasty and savory. A good deal! This plate of may not look the best with its dark color and seemingly casual presentation, but they were in fact very yum. Though being deep fried, we entirely did not feel they were oily at all - on the other way round, they were quite dry while being crispy enough. The savory green onion was so awesome if matched with rice too!

The Fried Chinese Kale with Ginger Juice (HKD 58) is for those (like me) who loves ginger and greens! Not only ginger juice, there were also quite a number of cubed gingers with the veggies. Without being too oily, the veggies were so green and fresh that we both agreed this is a must order for the night for some more fiber.

Meet and Exceed?

Really high quality-to-price ratio! The portions of every items here greatly exceed our expectations. There were a lot of seasonal seafood items on the menu but we were yet to give them a try because of the time limit. Lobster, crab, fish, abalone... you name it. Next time we are going to have a taste! A must-go place for all the seafood fans out there.
