A different kind of Siu Mei Rice!

Impression

Here's our first All-Day Siu Mei Set, Rice Vermicelli in Soup with Soy Sauce Chicken and Poached Chicken (HKD 49). Quite flexible with the options since you could firstly choose from Rice, Noodles in Soup, Rice Vermicelli in Soup, or Rice Noodles in Soup; after that, you could choose 2 out of the 5 Siu Mei items (additional HKD 5 if you go for the Barbecued Goose). The meats are tender and portion size is good; however, may probably blame on my lack of luck, the area that we have been given is mostly close to the bone that we could hardly taste the meats... They have carefully separately packaged the noodles and the soup that we appreciated. By the way, all sets come with your choice of drinks (6 choices in totals).

One of the highlights of this place is the 5-Special Rice (HKD 70) which has been reflected at the relatively high price. This full bowl includes Char Siu, Pork Belly, Goose, Soy Sauce or Poached Chicken and a Soft-boiled egg. Quite a similar issue with the above one, for the goose and the chicken, we have been given the parts next to the bone and the back, so there's nothing much we could eat. For the Char Siu, it was amazing! No wonder it was the charm of this place. We should have ordered Char Siu Rice directly haha. It's interesting to add the soft-boiled egg as a trendy arrangement, adding an extra unique element into it.

Meet and Exceed?

The reason we described it as "different kind" in the topic is because the way they presented the food items. Usually, we come across places serving economical and local food are quite casual in delivering the food or how they presented them; here, even with the affordable price, they still managed to make it nice and decent, and it does not seem you are having some casual quick meal at all. We think this is exactly how serving Hong Kong-styled food should be!
