Restaurant Review - Playt (Dinner Buffet) - Hong Kong

The enjoyable X'mas Dinner Buffet!

Impression 

Merry X'mas to all! Having the awesome Christmas dinner is the thing that lights me up whenever I know this festival is coming soon haha. This year, we have chosen to visit this place for celebrating this joyful day. The theme this year was "Black" so there were few dishes that have been made in black to make them look cool, including the Chinese prawn dumplings, squid ink pasta and the Western charcoal soup. The seafood, sashimi, Inidan curry, Chinese dim sum, noodles, cold cuts, Chinese hot dishes, salad, tempura, foie gras toast, cheese station and the desserts bar are all serving decent food with professional service. The part that was most crowded all night is of course the seafood and the oyster area, that's why we were not able to take some clear picture of it...Anyways, a place that worth going for its spacious environment and varieties of choices!

Meet and Exceed? 

The quality of the food were for sure above average, especially with the large amount of food for us to choose, sometimes it's hard to maintain the quality. The good thing about this place is that the setting are all open-kitchen style, that you could not only see how the chef prepare the items for you, but also allows the chef to make the dishes whenever they are run out - keeping everything fresh and decent. So the temperature control could be at its optimum. The highlight, for me, was the hot items that they did quite a good job. We enjoyed they have incorporated food from different countries as well. Hope you guys had a warm and sweet Christmas this year :)
