Tempting Japanese-styled one-pot lunch!
Impression
I would probably describe "One pot per person" kind of hot pot belongs to a trendy one because the "most traditional" kind of hotpot is usually a large pot serving a large group of diners. And I guess overtime, people realized this setting has its limitation (large group of people) and that's why this style has emerged to satisfy your hotpot craving even if you have just a small batch of people or even alone. We came here for the All-you-can-eat Lunch Course for 90 minutes (HKD 108 for each person). The meat that you could order includes Australian Beef, Pork and Chicken Thigh. The first soup base we chose was Tomato Fish Broth. Yes, there were literally two little fish inside haha. It was fresh with a relatively light flavour of tomato. We were not in the mood of something too heavy so this was one of our choice.
The below soup base was Sukiyai (sweet soy sauce) served with fresh egg. The soup base was quite sweet as expected as this is absolutely a good one pairing with the Australian beef.
The Chicken Thigh would be our favourite meat among the three. From the look of them, they may not look so but in fact the texture of them were amazingly tender and smell so tempting. Is it because of the tomato soup base which has some kind of effects on their texture? lol Anyways, it was really good value and we would highly recommend you order this one, more.
The Australian Beef was nothing less than we expected, just the quality of Chicken Thigh has already drawn our attention away. As you can see, there was not too much fat on them but still managed to be juicy and flavourful. We have yet to try the highest level one - Wagyu which claimed to be the juiciest and richest in terms of their taste.
There's an area dedicated to a number of types of veggies for diners to shabu-shabu. The below one is the first plate we brought to the table and the next few ones were mostly the same. Most of the items are common ones - Korean rice cakes and seafood cakes are more special choices.
In totals there were five different kinds of soda drinks (all you can drink) for you to choose from. Basically it included every classic ones so no worries about the drinks part. Oh, you could also go for the coffee or tea or simply water too.
The frozen yogurt (it's in strawberry flavour this time) served as our dessert. Few toppings and sauces can be chosen from. We heard that sometimes they offered two kinds of flavours too.
Meet and Exceed?
Overall, we were very satisfied with what we were offered given that the price setting was not that aggressive. We enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients - including the meats and the non-meats items. Of course, the one thing we like the most is the Chicken Thigh which was the most unforgettable. Also, the environment was neat and tidy, with enough privacy between tables. Looking for some hot-pot time if you are alone? This one is the one!
