Restaurant Review - YoLi - Hong Kong

Korean dinner set with good value!

Impression

This building should be a newly-open one (I guess) and there are two to three restaurants operating in each floor. I guess the mall is not fully running yet so some floors are not available. This place is a classic place for having Korean food. I remember some time ago my family and I came here quite often. This time we ordered their dinner sets instead of the Korean barbecue. We did see some diners were enjoying their BBQ as these are their signatures too.

We have ordered two dinner sets so here comes to four little plates of starters. Each set includes two starters and unfortunately these cannot be add. In general, the quality of these four starters were good, especially the sliced potatoes one, crispy and fresh.

The Seafood Udon (HKD 58) came first. It was a bit disappointing as we expected the word "seafood" would mean items more than few fish balls. Basically there were some veggies and chopped carrots and fish balls. The most "seafood" part was the two clams at the bottom. Of course we were not asking for abalone or tiger prawn, but something more than fish balls.

Here's the champ. This Beef Rib Rice (HKD 78) was much more than we expected. The meats were so tender and juicy. The sauce was yummy with some sweetness, and the carrots were being cooked for a while so that they were super tender too. Very yummy! We can almost finish two bowls of rice with these meats haha.

Meet and Exceed?

With the non-aggressive price setting, the food items provided for sure exceed our expectations. We did not have the chance to try a lot on the menu, but we would say the Beef Rib one was really great with good value. It was even better than lots of ribs that comes with a much higher price. The service provided here was average, did not leave much impressions but able to live up to the standard. For those who loved Korean BBQ, they have such offers too!
