A hidden local gem in Western dishes

Impression

We have to say it's not an easy job to find this place's location as it was quite a low-key one. The entrance or decoration was not very fancy but enough to give you the feeling of warmth and being home. It was cozy in terms of size so we agreed that it would be a good place for couples or close friends to come.

We started our night with this complementary Bread and Mixed Vegetables Tomato Soup. Both of them were within our expectation. The bread look good with a little box of butter on the side for you to pair with. The ingredients used in the soup were quite a lot with common items like celery, carrots, veggies and so on.

As someone who is constantly aware of his waistline, I have ordered this Italian Green Salad (HKD 55) which turned out to be a delight. The portion size and the freshness of the salad veggies has lived up to its price level; meanwhile, we enjoyed the salad dressing (homemade I guess?) that was a bit sour too. The added sliced cucumber and tomato have made the salad less boring and brought some more freshness.

This USA Angus Sirloin Steak (HKD 188; 9 oz) was a hit for sure! Needless to say, its size was quite huge and the seasoning was so on point. When I said seasoning, there's actually simply some salt and pepper - if the quality of the meat is good enough, who needs fancy seasoning? Very easily (and quickly), we finished this plate without needing any extra sauce. The fries was freshly fried and the tiny salad portion was average. With this price setting, this dish has absolutely scored full mark.

Meet and Exceed?

We were surprised by its quality of dishes especially the steak - very well-handled and good value. With excellent ingredients, you got to be skillful and knowledgeable to make it taste good with the cooking method or seasoning - for this place, we think they are very clear about that and able to do a great job, while maintaining a reasonable price. Not an easy spot to find? Well, there are reasons for you to tackle the difficulty!
