Souvenirs Review - IFung Seaweed - Kenting

Seaweed lovers? A must-grab paste for souvenirs!

Taiwan is always one of our favourite spot when travelling - not only because the convenient location (relatively short flight time), but also its wide variety of products that it could be super easy to choose something nice as souvenirs for our friends and family.

This time, we have ordered a pack of Seaweed Paste from IFung Seaweed (which has been set up on 1963) online and they have been sent to our hotel directly (very convenient!). There are three flavours that we would like to recommend to you this time and all of them have been emphasized on its rawness of the seaweed with no MSG added.

The first one in green packaging is the Original flavour. Basically you can use them as dip sauce, for pairing with your bibimbap, noodles, porridge or dumplings etc, instead of salt and soy sauce. And I can reassure you that with its level of savory, nothing need to be worry about the richness of the flavour.

The packaging in red belongs to the Mushroom flavour. The difference on this one is the added mushroom which has been cut into very small pieces that you can hardly see it but the portion of them is generous enough to be tasted in every single spoons. we both agreed that the added ingredient has made this paste even richer in terms of the texture.

The final one in yellow is in Honey flavour which add an extra natural sweetness to the paste. One more thing to mention is that they insist on the use of pure seaweed as raw material, and based on the principle of not destroying the natural fiber and rich nutrition of seaweed, they hand-made all these products which contain excellent flavor and maintain traditional taste.

Meet and Exceed?

My favourite one is no doubt the honey flavour. It is not only very rich in texture, but also full of sweetness which comes from the honey, which paired well with any kinds of fried veggies or simply add in the mealbox as dipping. Of course, the other two - Original and Mushroom are also great too which could be matched with different kinds of dishes. We are going to try them with conggee soon!
