Italian homemade pasta and homemade bread
Impression
If you know me, you would probably see that I am always attracted by dishes that are marked with "handmade" since it showed me the chef/kitchen has enough confidence and knowledge to turn raw food to the dishes from scratch, instead of buying pre-made food. And this time, I was trying their homemade bread and pasta in this place.
The bread definitely had my heart. You could ask for more if you want (no additional charges) - and guess what - I have order 4 more times for this lol The best part was they served warm (nomnom) and there were like 4 different flavours! My favourite would be the dried tomato and herbs ones but the others were amazing too. I became a big fan of their bread soon afterwards. To level up-ed the game, please homemade the butter on the side!
Handmade Fettucine with Squid (HKD 78) was a good one but do alert that it was so so spicy. I am actually quite okay with spicy food but this one has got me both running nose and tears for every two bites...Like the texture of the pasta but still, do take note on the level of its spicyness (though it looks quite innocent in photo.) By the way, you could choose linguine or fettuccine for their pasta items.
Handmade Linguine with Vegetables in Tomato Sauce (HKD 78) looks so similar with the above one right haha Pardon me I do love tomato sauce so both of the items were in the same kind of sauce (and skipping cream sauce for the sake of my waistline). Anyways, the dish was within expectation and to compare, I would prefer Fettucine since the texture of it was more to my liking. There were a bit of lovely eggy flavour of both types though.
Wrap up
It was a delight experience having an afternoon tea in this place (yea I came at around 3pm on a weekend afternoon) - though I was expecting some "real" afternoon tea set but there was not any during weekends haha my bad. Anyways the a la carte menu was good enough for me with abundant choices. Next time, I will for sure keeping my eye on their homemade bread again!
